With the do chua made recently, how could I resist making a sandwich with it? I love my sandwiches. But I had no sandwich bread so I decided to make a cheats version which I like to call my Faux Bagel Bánh Mì. I have a whole stash of bagels in the freezer crying out to be used.
My bagels were only very lightly toasted. I wish I toasted it more! But anyway, I used some leftover pulled pork from the freezer (defrosted of course), do chua and mayo. Lazy-man’s version of the very delicious classic. Nothing beats the classic but this is a tremendously hassle-free sandwich which can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.

Layer 1: Mayo. I know a few people averse to mayonnaise. Butter would be a great sub of course.
Layer 2: Pork… or any leftover meat.
Layer 3: The pickles!! I kept it for a couple of days before using it.
I had to cut it to half for easy eating.
It was such a great lunch with a steaming cup of Milo.
Oh.. and watching some cooking/baking video while lunching makes it a more excellent experience. *Thumbs up!*
Have a great weekend! <3

“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” (Isaiah 57:15)

Sounds like a great lunch!
It was.
Extremely filling too!
Oh, that looks awesome! I would’ve never thought to put those flavors together on a bagel, but I just might now. And now I’m hungry!!
Neither have I! They say necessities is the master of creation, or something like that, right?
sometimes fiddling around can lead to pleasant surprises.
That looks awesome!
