We usually bring packed lunch to work almost every work day. We really do. But I haven’t shared much because it’s basically been dinner’s leftovers and I am guessing noone wants to see the same post twice over here.
Today though, I decided to take a different route and make myself something that did not originate from leftovers. Something very light but made me very very happy.
AVOCADO SALAD! Can you tell I really like avocados?
AVOCADO! You can see this isn’t 100 ripe. Flesh still stuck to the seed. But I couldn’t wait too have it. Can you blame me?
Avocado and lemons are a perfect match. I added a pinch of salt and a dusting of pepper too.

Avocado salad and a mug of hot coffee. Hubs was like, “That’s it?”
Yes, that was it and it made me feel good.

Hubs will never be able to survive on salad so he got this.
I need more salad in my life. Don’t we all?

Yum yum. I think, like you, I could happily just eat that salad and be 100% satisfied. Love stuff like that… and I need to eat more of it.
I know… I love avocados so much. Can you believe they cost RM4-5 per piece here? Hence I only get to have them when it’s either on really cheap sale or if I’m given some.
Ah, no matter. I’ll make do without them for a while.
I love them so much, too. And YIKES. They kind of go back and forth here. I’ve found some that are $1 USD… and then sometimes found deals like 5 for $3 or something similar. It’s pretty crazy. … Do they grow in Malaysia?
I know! Even with currency conversion, ours here is still pricier! It’s weird but Malaysia isn’t known to be growing avocados. I know Indonesia grows a different variety but for some reason, the only ones that reach our stores are Californian ones. Hence the price. But if I do find them on sale, on very rare occasions, I’d grab a few and chuck them in the fridge. Enjoy more avocados on my behalf, will you?k
Wow. That’s pretty wild! And how crazy it is that y’all only seem to get California avocados. (The price makes sense if you think about it, as far as distance in miles. Ya know? Texas is a LOT closer to California than Malaysia is…)
I will certainly enjoy them on your behalf, girl! And I will cross my fingers that you can find some on sale soon!
